How can we help?
Mochi for iPhone · iOS 18.4 or later
Mochi is an AI Shiba friend for practicing Japanese through voice and text conversations. For personal help, email maepace.mail@gmail.com. Please do not include passwords, purchase receipts, full conversation transcripts, or other sensitive information.
Mochi cannot hear me
- Open iOS Settings → Apps → Mochi and allow Microphone and Speech Recognition access.
- Check that another app is not using your microphone and that your Bluetooth audio device is connected.
- End the current Live conversation, reopen it, and try again on a stable connection.
Live conversation was interrupted
Mochi automatically tries to reconnect after brief network, call, or audio-route interruptions. If the reconnect message remains, end the conversation and start again. Your completed conversation and saved learning data will not be removed.
Restore Mochi Plus
Open Mochi → Settings → Mochi Plus → Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Subscription management and cancellation are handled in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting Mochi or your Mochi account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Export my learning data
Open Mochi → Settings → Data & Privacy → Export learning data. Mochi creates a JSON file containing the learning data available to the app on that device. You choose where to save or share the export.
Delete a conversation, learning data, or my account
- One conversation: open Past conversations from Settings and choose the conversation to remove.
- All learning data: open Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete all learning data.
- Your account: open Settings → Account → Delete account and complete reauthentication.
Account deletion removes your synchronized learning snapshot and Firebase account. For security, an account that has signed in may need to reauthenticate before deletion. If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your account and ask for account-deletion assistance.
AI answers and safety
Mochi may make mistakes. Do not rely on the app for medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. You can report an unsafe or inappropriate response by emailing support with the approximate date, app version, and a brief description that does not expose sensitive conversation content.
Accessibility
Mochi supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion. Repetitive character movement stops when Reduce Motion is enabled. If an interaction is inaccessible, contact us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and the screen where it occurred.
